Book-a-Librarian Form

You can submit the following form to request an appointment with a staff member. Only one topic will be covered per session. Appointments are subject to librarian availability and preference is given to Harwich cardholders. Appointments are limited and patrons may request one appointment and one follow-up. 

BAL Covers:
  • eBooks/eReaders
  • Basic device overview (how to text, how to take pictures, change settings, etc.)
  • Basic app/software overview
  • General internet/research instruction
  • Creating a new email account, email basics
  • Privacy settings on social media and beyond
  • Job Application Assistance
BAL Does Not Cover:
  • Repairing broken, locked, or infected devices/apps
  • Repairing/Restoring email accounts or email managers
  • Keyboarding
  • Setting up brand new devices
  • Entering sensitive information for you (e.g. credit card information, social security number, online banking, etc.)
  • Keyboarding, typing, or proofreading documents
  • Cannot provide medical, legal, and business advice or opinions

If you are unable to make either of these times, and feel comfortable having 15-minutes to discuss your question, please consider coming to Device Advice (no appointment necessary), available every day during open hours.
  • Please be as specific as possible. What kind of device are you bringing in? What resource do you want help with? The more information you provide the faster it is for us to determine if we can match you with a librarian. NOTE: BAL does not cover the set-up of brand new devices, or the recovery, restoration, or repairing of broken devices, email, apps. etc.
